How to Assemble the Cybex Lemo 4-in-1 High Chair
I was a little nervous to assemble the Cybex Lemo 4-in-1 Learning Tower after reading a few reviews. However, I was relieved after opening the tools package in the box and realizing that there were only six screws and a hex key (aka Allen wrench).
The screws are used for two poles which attach to the base and the top attachment (either the infant seat, babyset high chair, or backrest). The footrest and seat slide onto the poles and are adjusted without any additional screws or tools.
The design itself is pretty unique, but the instructions were excellent and clear, and there are even videos you can watch which make it super easy to assemble.

For each stage of your little one, the Cybex Lemo 4-in-1 High Chair and Learning Tower transforms into a new solution to participate and develop independence. And within each of these stages, the Cybex Lemo provides additional safety precautions.
For example, the infant bouncer seat attaches very securely with adapters and includes four additional feet covers with a rubber base to prevent any movement. The seat itself has an adjustable 5-point harness that you slip your little one into. The Lemo high chair seat also includes an adjustable 5-point harness, but this one has a buckle.
The frame itself is made from lightweight aluminum and has a large base with a low center of gravity, minimizing the risk of the Cybex Lemo tipping over. The pieces are constructed and assembled in a way that no pinching should occur, although we do recommend that only adults make the adjustments when moving the seat and footrest up and down or back and forth (seat only).
Ease of Use
The Cybex Lemo high chair is extremely easy to use, with the Lemo chair being the base and additional transformations able to be done easily. However, it is worth noting that transforming the chair into the infant bouncer requires removing four screws with the Allen wrench and replacing the backrest with the infant seat adapters.
Transforming the Cybex Lemo 4-in-1 high chair into other stages don’t require any additional tools. Adding and removing the high chair baby seat, tray table, and learning tower waist support can easily be done by hand, although when removing them you want to make sure to lift the plastic locking pieces.
Also, additional adjustments can easily be made to the Cybex Lemo without additional tools. Adjusting the height of the footrest and seat can be done by turning part of the underside of the seat. And the seat itself can be adjusted to change the depth by turning a knob under the seat.
Durability and Quality
The Cybex Lemo 4-in-1 high chair is incredible and we find ourselves grabbing it for all sorts of use: stool, extra seat at the table, independent hand washing, and more. In all its use, it hasn’t gotten scratched and we feel it is extremely sturdy and very well made. The high quality materials include: aluminum, beechwood, silicon and more.
The backrest, footrest, and seat are all made out of wood and we did notice the backrest got a little worn after we repeatedly attached and removed the high chair baby seat and Learning Tower Set waist support.
Also, I cannot tell you how much I love the adjusting mechanism on the underside of the seat and footrest! The design is amazing and doesn’t look clunky or cheap… and it is super easy to use and very high quality.
We also love that the Cybex Lemo high chair tray is dishwasher safe and the entire chair is very easy to clean. The exception would be the infant seat, which isn’t necessarily for feeding (as they will be too small for solid foods during use). The infant bouncer seat itself is very plush and is made from polyester with a cotton inlay and head hugger.
Comfort
The Cybex Lemo 4-in-1 convertible high chair does not have a padded seat, except for the infant bouncer seat. But the adjustable footrest and seat make it so you can tweak the chair for personal comfort. I especially love being able to easily change the depth of the seat to ensure proper hip, knee, and ankle alignment.
Weight and Bulkiness
Probably our biggest complaint of the Cybex Lemo 4-in-1 convertible high chair is the lack of portability, but that is also something we love because it increases its sturdiness. There are no wheels and the chair is hard to push around. Also, the Cybex Lemo chair without additional attachments weighs 16.3 lbs, making it a little heavy for some kids to move around.
The Cybex Lemo chair also doesn’t fold up if you are hoping to store it. And you will need extra storage room for the additional accessories like the Learning Tower waist support, infant bouncer seat, and high chair baby seat. The Learning Tower set attachment piece, however, has foldable legs to conserve space.
