NOANK – Karen Shultzman and Matt Kimball met at Carson’s Store. She had learned to play the oboe with the Fitch band; he had learned clarinet at school in Maine. Each had married and raised families in the area. Because the frenzy of raising children was over, Kimball and Shulzman “would sit around Carson’s and reminisce and say ‘wouldn’t it be wonderful to play in a band again,’” said Shulzman.
